The lead for the British Council Cameroon headed the team in discussions about SMICUI’s application to offer the Cambridge curriculum, as a British Council associate school.
During their time on campus, the delegation had the opportunity to explore SMICUI’s varied academic and recreational facilities. This included stops at the state-of-the-art laboratories, interactive classrooms, a well-appointed gymnasium, spacious and comfortable hostels, and a majestic cafeteria. Additionally, they toured the music classrooms and the arts and crafts studios, gaining insight into the comprehensive and enriching educational experience provided to students.
The visit was also highlighted by a symbolic gift from Ms. Caroline Ndifor, the British Council country lead & business development manager, to Ms. Pristel Ubendou, the school’s assistant principal. This gesture emphasized the mutual respect and collaboration between Saint Mary’s International College and University Institute and the British Council, further strengthening ties between the two entities.
At the end of the visit, Ms. Ndifor expressed satisfaction in SMICUI’s degree of readiness and promised to work with the institution to introduce and expand the reach of the UK Curriculum in Cameroon.
